Serve Committee May 25, 2006 Accomplishments: Sponsored Ash Wednesday Soup Supper with proceeds going to Haysville Community Outreach and funds matched by Thrivent Serve committee solicited volunteers for working at the Habitat for Humanity project in April and served lunch for the team of workers on April 22, 2006. The committee will also be involved in the Habitat for Humanity project in Haysville this October. Committee will be soliciting volunteers for providing lunches/snacks for workers. Future projects being considered include: Encouraging members to support St. Paul’s Lutheran Kid’s Kingdom and Day Care Facility by participating in a program designed to raise funds for their church to purchase new equipment for the daycare facility. New blinds for the classroom, a sink, new range, and other equipment is needed for the daycare is approved by the SRS and accepts SRS children. Joan Swander will provide more details as they are available. Serving at St. Paul’s Free Community Breakfast on a Saturday. Providing welcome packets to residents of the new apartment complex being built in Haysville.
