WELCOME TO WORSHIP AT RESURRECTION!  We have Sunday School at 9:00 AM and Worship at 10:00 AM. Coffee fellowship follows the service so please come and join us.  Watch the bulletin boards for pictures of things that are going on and follow the bulletin announcements for information about all kinds of events, meetings and happenings.

SUNDAY SCHOOL ICE CREAM SOCIAL Sunday May 20th, 2012  will be the last day of Sunday School  until next fall.  We will celebrate by having an  Ice cream social.  Please sign up on the sheet in the narthex if you would like to bring items such as toppings, ice cream and etc.  Thank you!

SUMMER SCHEDULE STARTS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.  Sunday May 27th begins the summer worship schedule here at Resurrection Lutheran with a service of Holy Communion beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a coffee fellowship.  Sunday School for all ages will resume in the fall.  Have a wonderful summer!

BAPTISM TODAY!  We welcome to the Lord’s family Brooklyn Paige Doll through the rite of Holy Baptism.  She joins the Resurrection Lutheran family along with her parents Lance and Missy Doll and her older brother Colton.  Her sponsors are Landon and Maygan Doll.

WELCA BOOK AND BAKE SALE  will be held through the month of May.  A bake sale will kick off the month TODAY May 6th so bring your book and magazine items beginning now.  This is a fundraiser held each year that benefits summer camp scholarships and other WELCA funded church projects.  See the flyer in today’s bulletin.

TRASH COLLETION DAY has been changed to Friday beginning the Week of April 23rd.  Please do not pull the carts out the sidewalk.  The trash company comes up to the building to get them.

THRIVENT COLLECTION BLITZ FOR OAKLAWN TORNADO VICTIMS  Thrivent is sponsoring a collection of specific items and Resurrection is a collection point.  See the flyer in today’s bulletin regarding the needs and collection of the citizens of Oaklawn.  This is a one week only opportunity and TODAY is the last day, so See Evelyn Clark if you have any questions.

COUNCIL MEETING will be held on Tuesday May 8th, 2012 at 6:30 PM.

VBS IS COMING SOON!  June 25-29  from 6:00-8:30 PM Resurrection will be the fun place to be!  Watch the bulletin for more information.  If you will need nursery care (for children 2 and under) please email Pastor Elizabeth at pastor@rxluth.com  by May 15th.

BETHANY LUTHERAN SCHOOL serves children in grades preschool through 5th grade.  We are currently accepting enrollment for the 2012 school year.  For more information regarding our Christian School, please give us a call at 265-3033 or come for a sneak peak at our school.  We are located at 1000 W. 26th Street S.

HOMELESSNESS AND NEEDS are everywhere around us. Check out the Resource guides on the pamphlet display shelf for two resources that contain information on where to go for help and assistance in the Wichita Area.  The lists include the location of food banks, medical clinics, assistance phone numbers and so much more.  Pick up a pamphlet and keep it on hand in case you or someone you know needs a helping hand.
