OTHER MINISTRIES SUPPORTED BY RLCOaks Indian Center, Oaks OK We are… Living the Faith through Local OutreachHAYSVILLE COMMUNITY OUTREACHNon-perishable goods are collected during each Sunday worship service for the Haysville Community Outreach “Pantry.” Monetary gifts and offerings are also given to the HCO and to the Haysville Senior Center. Each year members help supply and wrap gifts for the HCO “Angel Tree” for needy children.
HAYSVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCEResurrection Lutheran is an active member of the Haysville Chamber of Commerce. Each month congregational members serve the Chamber luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. Each Christmas, RLC choir members sing carols at the lighting of the community Christmas tree. THRIVENT BUILDS / HABITAT FOR HUMANITYMembers provide hospitality, meals, financial support and construction help to build affordable quality homes for those in need. NURSING HOME WORSHIP SERVICESThe second Sunday afternoon of the month, a lay minister of RLC conducts a worship service at the local nursing home. PARADESFor years, RLC has had entries in the local 4th of July and Fall Festival parades and won awards at many of them. COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICERLC has hosted and participated in the community Thanksgiving service. |
